Ostrario – Zentrum für visuelle Abgefahrenheit

Tomorrow, on 7 October 2011, the red dot Winners will be awarded in Berlin. Unfortunately, we don’t have the time to be there, but still: The Designers’ Night at the Alte Münze Berlin does not only make the international creative scene celebrate, it is also the vernissage and thus the beginning of a very special exhibition: From 8 – 16 October 2011, under the motto »Design on stage«, awarded works of communication design turn one of the hippest locations of central Berlin into a hot-spot for everyone, who wants to be up to date in design. The exhibition presents the winners of the »red dot award: communication design 2011«.

We just finished the design for the new helmet of Werner Heel that he’ll wear speeding down snowy mountains during this winter world-cup season. Dainese will produce it, it’s gonna be out at the beginning of october. Besides that, there will be some drinking-bottles. The whole design is based on the papercut-website for Werner we made last winter. We will present the final products in the portfolio.

For the design of the theatre season 2011/12, we shot a series of abstract geometric color composition on the theatre’s stage, using the huge opera-foil (100 ms!). It was a really nice experience creating different light situations on stage. We had two spots shining from the very top of the stage, and put a mirror on the ground in order to reflect the light back. Different color-foils created different feelings. The design will be used for the printed programmes of the theatre for the 2011/12 season, and on their new website. We will put the whole thing on our portfolio a.s.a.p.!
